Grace Baptist Church
Today is what is known as Good Friday. In this weekend of remembrance, this is the remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
For Jesus, it was the agony of the cross. Not just the physical pain but the bearing of our sin and guilt as He who knew no sin became sin for us. And the awful separation of Himself from His Father. This concept is beyond our comprehension. It brings tears and humility as we try to even consider some of what this means.
But because Christ suffered and bore our sins, it is good for us. We, the sinners, now can be set free from bondage to sin and separation from God. We have a relationship with Almighty God. He is our Father. We are joint heirs with Jesus Christ. I cannot fathom the depths of what this means. But it brings joy and peace and life. All because Jesus died for our sins and resurrected from the dead victorious over sin, death and Hell.
Hallelujah, what a Savior! It is Good Friday. Good for us. God is good.
This is the message that the whole world needs to hear. This is the truth that will set men free. This is our reason for hope. This is why we worship.
We have a Redeemer. Jesus Christ the Righteous. Jesus Christ the Savior. Jesus Christ our Lord.
I am so thankful for “Good Friday” because after Christ suffered and fulfilled all righteousness and resurrected from the dead then all who come to Him will be saved.
I look forward to worshipping with you as we magnify our Great Savior this Resurrection Sunday. Please be in prayer for me and for our services. Bring a friend and pray.
